This painting is inspired by Lilacia Park in Lombard, IL. The park is full of lilac bushes of all varieties, and the atmosphere is magical when they all bloom in May. Lilacs bloom for about 2-3 weeks in the springtime, and the smell brings about nostalgic feelings for many.
